Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 97 fresh covid-19 cases even as two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.
They said 21 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 76 from Kashmir Valley, taking the infection tally to 323422 in J&K.
Providing the district-wise details, the officials told GNS that Srinagar reported 28 cases, Baramulla 2, Budgam 10, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 11, Shopian 2, Jammu 4, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 3, Doda 8, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 2, Ramban 1 and Reasi 1.
A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of CD hospital here.
The CD cases include female (40) from Haftchinar Srg, male (20) from Fatehkadal, male (70) from Lal Bazar, female (35) from Soura, female (63) from Trichal Pul, female (21) from Dalipora Pul, male (12) from Arihal Pul, male (NA) from Nawakadal, male (55) from NA, female (NA) from Tailbal and female (32) from Rainawari.
Meanwhile, there were two deaths due to the virus—one each from Jammu and Kashmir. So far 4397 people have fallen victim to the pathogen in J&K—2157 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir.
Moreover, they said, 110 more COVID-19 patients have recovered, 45 from Jammu Division and 65 from Kashmir Valley.
So far, 317737 people have recovered, leaving the number of active cases at 1288—520 in Jammu and 768 in Kashmir.
There was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. Thus far 42 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added. (GNS)
