Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday registered case against a motorcycle-borne duo on recovery of contraband drug capsules from their possession in Janglat Mandi in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
An official told that the recovery was made by a naka team at Bilal Colony near Masjid Bilal crossing, Janglat Mandi. “A duo approaching on a motorcycle was stopped by the naka team led by Duty Officer Janglatmandi (SI) Gh Mohd, and on developing suspicion about their movement, the team took both of them into their custody for questioning, he said adding that On sustained questioning, the persons revealed of possessing capsules of banned drugs.”
On searches, the team recovered 7160 capsules of MEFAR-PD and Spasmo-Proxyvon Plus from their possession, the official said.
Identifying the accused duo as Kowsar Ahmad Khandday son of Mohd Abdullah Khandday, a resident of Vessu Qazigund Bilal Ahmad Naikoo son of Nazir Ahmad Naikoo, a resident of Cheni Chowk Anantnag, the official further said that a case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of law and due investigations taken up.
