Srinagar : The death toll due to Novel Coronavirus has mounted to 866 in Jammu and Kashmir as eight more patients including a four-year-old child from Jammu division died due to the virus on Saturday in the Union Territory.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that eight patients who died today include a 61-year-old woman from Soura Srinagar, an 81-year-old woman from Kehnoosa Bandipora, a 55-year-old man from Nowshera Rajouri, a 67-year-old man from Bal Shama Sunderbani Rajouri, a 55-year-old man from Durga Nagar Jammu, a four-year-old child from Janipur, a 65-year-old man from Miran Sahib Jammu and a 27-year-old man from Akhnoor.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Soura who was admitted on 07 September died on Saturday.
An official from JVC SKIMS Bemina said that a patient from Kehnoosa Bandipora who was admitted on 03 September died on Saturday.
An official from Rajouri said that two patients including one each from Nowshera and Sunderbani died on Saturday.
An official from Jammu said that four patients including elderly persons from Durga Nagar and Miran sahib besides a young man from Akhnoor and a child from Janipur died on Saturday.
With eight fresh fatalities, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 866 including 722 from Kashmir division and 144 from Jammu division—(KNO)
