Srinagar : Police in Anantnag arrested four persons said to have involved in gambling activities.
A police official told that on receipt of a complaint into gambling, a team led by Duty Officer Janglat Mandi SI Ghulam Mohammad under the overall supervision of SHO Anantnag Mir Massarat, raided the specified site at Ashajipora Anantnag and arrested four gamblers.
The team besides making arrests also seized playing cards and a stake money of rupees 2950 from the site, the official said.
A case FIR number 288/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Anantnag for further investigations, he further said. (GNS)
