4 people in high dependence wards among 115 admitted at SKIMS Bemina

SRINAGAR : At least four patients in high dependence ward are among the 115 people being treated at SKIMS Bemina.
An official told news agency KINS that 115 patients suffering from coronavirus are admitted at SKIMS Bemina. “Among them four are in high dependence wards,” the official said.
Principal SKIMS Bemina Dr Riyaz Ahmad Untoo said the hospital was providing best health care to patients. “Even a youth suffering from coronavirus who was in ICU was discharged yesterday,” Dr Untoo said.
One COVID-19 patient aged 72, from Tangmarg, who had been admitted on April 13 died at the hospital on Saturday. The patient had reported with severe COVID19 Pneumonia, Grade II-III BHP, severe hypertension and atrial fibrillations.
At least 10 COVID-19 patients were discharged from SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina here after successful treatment on Saturday.
An official further told KINS that the patients discharged included five from Tangmarg, three from Srinagar, one from Bandipora and a patient from Kerela.
“All have been sent to quarantine for two weeks and were seen off by the HOD Microbiology, Dr Khursheed; HOD Medicine; in charge DMS and coordinator,” the official said.
Government has designated several hospitals including Chest Disease, JLNM and SKIMS Bemina as COVID-19 sanatorium to treat coronavirus patients. Since  April 3, the SKIMS Bemina has been receiving patients.
Recently, authorities also inaugurated coronavirus testing lab to perform tests through RT-PCR at SKIMS Bemina.(KINS)
