Srinagar : At a time when Government is availing the services of volunteers and retired health professionals to combat with Covid-19 in Kashmir Valley, it is reluctant to publish recruitment list of 43 Junior Pharmacists.

Government had advertised the posts for Junior Pharmacists in 2018 and those who selected were asked to submit their original testimonials for verification by Directorate of Health Services Kashmir.

“Since 2018, we are unable to apply for any job as the original testimonials lie with the government. We are ready to work in present Covid-19 crisis. Government is requesting volunteers and health professionals to help them combat Coronavirus but is not willing to publish the recruitment list,” the aspirants told Kashmir News Trust.

They said they fail to understand why government issued advertisement notice when it was not ready to appoint single Pharmacist.

“We are medical assistants and can help government in this crisis. At least, our original testimonials should be given back to us,” they said.

Director Health, Dr Sameer Matoo told KNT that he can’t do anything unless government asks me to do anything in this regard. “It is the baby of government and only it can take a final call,” he said.

When contacted, Principal Secretary, Atul Daloo listened everything in detail but didn’t comment on the matter. (KNT)
