DIO B’la, other Officers Presided as Visiting officers; Distributes Income, Domicile Certificates among Beneficiaries
Baramulla: As part of ongoing “Jan Abhiyan” that has been launched by J&K government preceding the upcoming Back to Village-3, 2nd Block Divas was today celebrated in the convention hall of Govt Degree College Uri for Uri and Paranpeela blocks of Baramulla district.
In this connection, a grand function was organized where District Information Officer Baramulla Mudasir H Choudhary, District Minerals Officer Sartaj Hussain, Tehsildar Uri and Principal GHSS Uri presided over as visiting Officers.
BDC chairperson Ms. Asifa, BDOs Hilal Ahmad and Mohammad Arif Shah, block level officers, representatives of various line departments, PRIs, officer from fisheries department Khalid Mehmood besides a large gathering of people showed their overwhelming participation.
On the occasion, the people appreciated the role of administration in addressing the major demands especially those pertaining to individual beneficiary schemes. These demands were appraised in the 1st block divas organized at the same venue on 16th of this month.
The visiting officers also held a productive interaction session wherein various stakeholders appraised their developmental aspirations pertaining to road connectivity, health, education, construction of individual bunkers, pending liability under MGNREGA etc. Meanwhile, several income and domicile certificates were also distributed among the identified beneficiaries.
District Information Officer, in his address complimented the participants and urged upon the people to come forward with their developmental needs and aspirations. He said that various schemes are being launched by the government for the development of border areas. He further added that several initiatives are being taken to empower PRIs so that democracy at grass root level is strengthened.
