Lashkar behind abductions in Hajin: Police

SRINAGAR: In a major disclosure, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed militant outfit Lashker-e-Toiba’s was behind abductions in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

On its Twitter handle, police said that the evidences collected so far indicate that Lashkar is involved in the abductions.

Earlier, police said 25-year-old Manzoor Ahmad Bhat was abducted by suspected militants from his home, while his father was also injured in the incident at Hajin late night. Pertinently, This is the second case of abduction within two days in the area after a local Naseer Ahmad Sheikh was abducted from same place, whose dead body was found a day later. (KNB)
