Need of practical solution to Kashmir problem: Farooq Abdullah


SRINAGAR: National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah today said that the situation in Kashmir is serious.

He said, “We have to sit to solve this issue. We are suffering and continue to suffer. We need to find out the solution of problem. Any further division of this nation will cause destruction”.

Abdullah further said that “Kashmir is a political issue and needs to be resolved on first priority so that people in the state can live in peace. He said that as long as its resolution is delayed, the situation is bound to deteriorate further instead of getting back on track.

He added that they (Alliance) don’t care about Kashmir adding that Mehbooba Mufti wants to save her chair. He said that India and Pakistan cannot snatch the other side of Kashmir. “There need of a practical solution to the problem. It can come only through dialogue”, he said.

When asked that why BJP don’t want to talk with Pakistan he said that if Mehbooba Mufti has any sense then she may leave this government but she loves her chair. He said that in 4 years she can’t do anything to talk with Pakistan.

Abdullah further said that Indian media must stop propaganda against Kashmir. “Everybody has condemned the killings in Kashmir. Every nation is condemning the killing, the killing must stop,” Farooq Abdullah said.  (PTK)
