CM Mehbooba should resign, mere probes won’t work: G.A Mir

SRINAGAR : Reacting on the civilians’ killings due to army firing in Shopian, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir asks Govt to explain as to what measures it will take to contain civilian killings in future.

He told PTK that ordering magisterial probe into the innocent killing is good, but it should be result oriented; besides the probe should fix responsibility for the civilian and innocent killings.

Expressing serious concern over the Shopian Killings, G.A. Mir while strongly condemning the killings said that mere ordering probes won’t serve any purpose, unless & until the action is initiated and responsibilities fixed against the involved personnel, because the loss of lives will further deepen the alienation among the people, who were already living in isolation due to the anti-people policies adopted by PDP BJP ruling dispensation.

Mentioning that regular incidents of killing of civilians has created a notion among the people that they were being targeted for being Kashmiri,, G.A. Mir said that people believe that nothing will happen, no action against the involved personnel will be taken.

He added that every week we condemn civilian killing we can’t understand what she is doing in Kashmir Mir while talking to Press Trust of Kashmir said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should resign from her post. He added that she failing to control the situation in Kashmir.

Mir further told  that if people can’t get justice from govt then what they expect from government.  He added that they totally failed to control because of that they are not able to open school. (PTK)
