SP Pani replaces Muneer Khan as IGP Kashmir

SRINAGAR; Jammu and Kashmir Government Thursday appointed senior IPS officer SP Pani as inspector general of police Kashmir range.

The State Home department issued orders appointing Pani as new police chief of Kashmir after the State cabinet approved his promotion as IGP alongwith two other officers.

An IPS officer of 2000-batch, Pani has served at key positions including DIG south Kashmir range, SSP Kulgam and SSP Kathua.Muneer Ahmad Khan, who was holding the charge of IGP Kashmir range, has been appointed as ADGP security and home guards.

Amit Kumar has been appointed as in-charge DIG south Kashmir range.
