Modi hailed Kashmir youth’s potential

NEW DELHI: The talented youngsters from Jammu and Kashmir can contribute greatly to the nation. It is gladdening to see more youth from the state joining the civil services and showing great potential in sports, this was stated by none other than the Prime Minister of India Narender Modi in a series of Tweets praising the talent of Kashmiri Youth.

The prime minister’s tweet came after he interacted with the Srinagar girls who are touring various parts of the country as a part of the Indian Army’s “Sadbhavana” programme. 

“Delighted to welcome a delegation of school girls from Jammu and Kashmir, who are touring various parts of the country as a part of the Indian Army’s Sadbhavana programme.

“The school children from Jammu and Kashmir and I had a lively interaction on areas pertaining to education, Swachh Bharat, benefits of Yoga,” PM Modi later tweeted.

Pertinently, the Army has organised a National Integration, Educational & Motivational tour to Delhi and Agra for 30 girl students from various schools, colleges and 1st Bn NCC of Srinagar. The students are accompanied by 02 female teachers and a team from Army.

Maj Gen R Ravi, GOC 31 Sub Area, flagged off the nine day tour from Badami Bagh Cantonment today which will entail visits to premier Educational Institutes and Industries including Miranda House, IIT Delhi, Jesus & Mary College, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Ericsson Telecom India Pvt Ltd and DMRC. The students will also get an opportunity to visit the places of rich cultural heritage which will cover Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Lotus Temple, India Gate and Red Fort. (KNB)
