SRINAGAR, NOV 17 : Media reports suggesting that a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET) Militant , Majid Khan, from south kashmir’s Anantnag district has surrendered were refused by officials here saying that he has neither arrested nor surrendered as yet.
“Neither we arrested him nor has he surrendered”, top police officers maintained here.
However, Khan is reported to have contacted his family, following appeal by his parents to return home. Father of Khan is admitted in a local hospital in Anantnag after he suffered a mild stroke on Tuesday.
The 20- year- old footballer had joined militant ranks barely a week before.
Khan remained under constant pressure to return home from his family, relatives and friends through social media soon after it became known that he had joined militant ranks. (KASHMIR WIRE)
