KULGAM: A militant was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Saturday, police said.
An official said that Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Ishfaq Ahmad Padder, resident of Machiwa Yaripora, was killed in a firefight with 62 RR and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police.

Earlier, he said that forces cordoned off the Tantraypora village of Bihibagh area of the district following inputs about the presence of militants.
