Day-2: Parts of north Kashmir shuts to mourn killing of LeT militants

SRINAGAR: For the second consecutive day today, a complete shutdown was observed in most parts of the Baramulla and Bandipora districts of north Kahsmir against the killing of three LeT militants during a gunfight.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions were closed in most parts of the Baramulla and Bandipora districts while as public transport remained off the roads. The Sopore town also witnessed shutdown to mourn the killing of slain militants.

Pertinently, Javed Ahmad Dar (24) of Khanpora Baramulla, Abid Hamid Mir (20) of Hajin Bandipora and Danish Showkat (19) of Batpora Sopore were killed in a gunfight at Amargarh area of apple town Sopore.
