Srinagar: Senior leader and Congress MLC Ghulam Nabi Moonga on Friday strongly reacted to PDP’s statement that NC-Congress alliance symbolises deceit and treachery in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The elections are not far and I am confident that people will completely reject the RSS and anti-people agenda of PDP and BJP. The PDP should do a self introspection before issuing statements in vacuum. People of the Jammu and Kashmir state have witnessed enough sufferings and human rights abuses under the incumbent coalition government’s rule and they would settle scores with PDP and BJP in upcoming elections,” Moonga told Press Trust of Kashmir to a question.
“The PDP should even stop dreaming about winning a single seat in upcoming elections as brute force used by the government forces and crackdown against people is still fresh in their minds. The government has miserably failed to provide basic facilities to the people, not to speak of bringing development to the state,” he added. Asserting that Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah were the main reasons behind the mess the state was entangled in, PDP Friday said that the NC-Congress alliance symbolises deceit and treachery in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The alliance has always brought miseries and added to the sufferings of people. The history is testimony of the fact that the coalition of the two parties has never done any good for the State of Jammu and Kashmir”, senior party leader and Minister Naeem Akhtar told media persons after attending a poll review meeting here at the party headquarters.
