17 non-local militants killed in 15 gunfights this year till June

Srinagar: At least 17 non-local militants were killed in 15 gunfights in the first six months of the current year in Kashmir Valley. Official records reveal all these 17 slain militants hailing from different areas of Pakistan and its administered Kashmir.
This month in June five non-local militants were killed while the number in January was two, February and March four each, one in May. No non-local militant was killed in April this year.
These 17 militants according to news agency CNS were killed in 15 gunfights that raged at Choudarybagh Pulwama, Khanmou, Pinglen Pulwama, Warpora Sopore, Badra Payeen Handwara, Pinglish Tral, Badra Payeen Handwara,Chattergam Nowgam, Dalipora Pulwama,Wadoora Sopore, Anantnag, Bidoora Anantnag, Boniyar Uri gun and Chekpora Kralpora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
During these gun fights in which 17 non-local militants were neutralized, 13 men in uniform including 6 army soldiers, 6 CRPF personnel and a policeman were also killed. They were
Major Vibhuti Shanker, Captain Ketan Sharma,  Hawaldar Shiv Ram, Sepoy Hari Singh, Sepoy Ajay Kumar, Sepoy Sandeep Kumar , policeman Abdul Rashid of Karnah, troopers Sham Narayan Singh, ASI, Neeru Sharma, ASI Ramesh Kumar, constable Satinder Kumar, constable MK Khushwa and constable Mahesh Kumar.
