SRINAGAR: The state administration has decided to postpone the class 12th examination scheduled on Monday (October 22) in Kashmir division.
The director school education Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo said the decision was taken by the divisional administration after taking feedback from all the deputy commissioners (DC) of Kashmir districts.
“The fresh dates for deferred exam will be issued separately, later,” Itoo said.
However earlier JKBOSE chairman, Veena Pandita said, “Administration has decided to hold the examination as per schedule and the areas where the restrictions or curfew will be imposed admit cards will be treated as the passes.”
“The dates for deferred exams will be notified later separately,” the spokesman of the varsity said, adding that the classwork will also remain suspended in the varsity on Monday.
Pertinently, seven civilians and three militants were killed in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
