SRINAGAR: Police has arrested two burglars and recovered stolen property on their instance in Baramulla today.
Police said in a statement issued, “On 08.04.2017 Police Station Baramulla was informed by Farooq Ahmad Bhat, M/S Vodafone that during the intervening night of 7/8. April 2017, some thieves have stolen batteries from Mobile Tower located at Kanispora Delina.
It adds that following this information, a case FIR vide No: 55/2017 under section 457, 380 RPC was registered in Police station Baramulla and investigation was taken up.
It further said that during the course of investigation Baramulla Police succeeded in arresting two people involved in the crime. They were identified as Waseem Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar and Irshad Ahmad Gojri son of Abdul Razaq Gojri. Their arrest led to the recovery of 16 stolen batteries and a vehicle bearing registration No: JK01F- 0605, used to commit the crime.
Further investigation into the matter is on and more recoveries are expected from the arrested persons.
