‘Working class got widely benefited through PDP Govt.’s pro-people policies’
Jammu : Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday has termed entry of former trade union leader Abdul Qayoom Wani in PDP as a reflection of party’s pro-people agenda and resolve to get the state out of the present crises.
“Joining of the prominent trade union leader Abdul Qayoom Wani in the PDP is a vindication of our stand that the working class in the state is with the PDP and is supportive of party’s policies of inclusiveness, growth and impartiality,” said senior PDP leader and MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam.
He added that whenever PDP came into power, it took plethora of pro-people measures and inspired the youth to scan new horizons with eager hope.
He added that from quashing of more than 12 thousand FIRs of youth to regularization of 60 thousand daily wagers, PDP unlike the other political groups didn’t allow the intimidation and harassment of Jammu and Kashmir’s working class in any way.
“Daily wagers who were waiting for years to get regularized were accorded their due rights with honor and in the same way the Implementation of 7th pay commission in the state was made possible sans any confrontation with the employees of the state. Such policies of the PDP are inspiring the people with vision to join the caravan of hope,” Alam said in a statement.
