Beerwah tuning into garbage dump, authorities unmoved

 SRINAGAR: The garbage, choked and foul smelling drains has turned Beerwah area of  Budgam into garbage dump. Residents alleged that the locality of Beerwha falling under municipality limits is craving for attention and lacks basic facilities.

They said that the much hyped initiative “Swach Baharat Abhiyan” of Prime Minister has not any impact on this locality as concerned authorities are totally in different. The residents castigating the authorities for failing to meet the expectations of the populace. “It seems that the authorities have forgotten us. The choked and foul smelling drains neglect their negligence”, they said.

Fearing outbreak of an epidemic, a local said, “Living here is very difficult due to garbage system on roads or in drains since long time”. He said that they have approached several times to authorities but they didn’t take any action into the matter. (PTK)
