SRINAGAR: In response to the complaint against the Islamic global school Rajbagh for alleged unlawful enhance in the school fee and transport charges on Nov 2017, the directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued a notice to seek reply to the principle.
The notice issued reads, “Whereas a number of complaints against your school regarding alleged unlawful enhance in the school fee and transport charges on Nov 2017 have been received by this office.
It further adds that the school has no parent teacher association which is contrary to rules in vogue and parents are being harassed by your school management either to withdraw their children or to pay the said exorbitant fee.
The notice issued by the Joint director (south), Directorate of school Kashmir also reads, “Whereas you were called to the directorate so that matter can be solved amicably. Whereas you deposed that you have withdrawn the concession granted to the persons who have been association with the said school, which should not have been done”.
Patently some parents (Tanveer Ahmad and Mohammad Ashraf Shera) have actually withdrawn their children from the school owing to the harassment by your school management.
It is also being alleged that one parent Nazir Ahmad Khan is being asked to pay RS 1600/month instead of the Rs 550 (school tuition fee) and 1600 instead of RS 1100/ Transport charges).
The school has allegedly violated the norms of fee fixation committee established by the state govt to regulate the fee structure of private educational institution.
The notice issued read, “Whereas such violation of norms and harassment of parents on parts of your deserve action as warranted under rules. In view of the above you are asked to explain as to why action as warranted under rules cannot be initiated against school. Your reply thereof should be reached this office within 3 days”. (PTK)
