KULGAM: In an overnight gunfight in Kulgam district of South Kashmir two militants and one underground worker (OGW) was caught live Security forces.

Police said that after specific information about the presence of some militants in Khudwani area of Kulgam district, the security forces launched a cordon and search operation.
“Soon after the forces cordon off the area, the militants opened fire at the security forces that retaliated, leading to a gunfight. Two local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants killed, have been identified as Sayar Ahamd Wani resident Wanpora Kulgam and Dawood Illahi, resident of Hawar Kulgam both belonging HM outfit”, police said.
