Forged forest daily wager list prepared in Kupwara

SRINAGAR : Karmraj forest division Zangli Kupwara has allegedly prepared a forged daily wager list and submitted it to the government as the govt has asked all the concerned divisions to submit the list of daily wagers.

Hundreds of daily wagers who are working in the department since more than eight years allege that candidates who have never been seen on ground have been shown in the list against huge bribes.

The daily wagers said that mostly forest range Sogam Lolab, Kralpora Kupwara and Zangli Kupwara main division have prepared list of candidates against huge bribes and on political influence who are either doing business or doing some other work, while as hundreds of candidates who are working in the department round the clock are deprived of providing attendance and wages, while as the department is receiving funds for them.

“I am working in the department as daily wager since 5 years. I have not received a single penny from the department while as blue eyed daily wagers are getting on monthly basis. The department is not even providing me attendance because I am not able to give bribes to them”, the agitated daily wagers.

The candidates said that the they have not been shown in the list which was sent to government some weeks back even they are most deserving candidates. While talking to Press Trust of Kashmir DFO Zangli Kupwara Sheikh Ayoub said that “We have selected candidates as per the eligibility and required qualifications”.
