SRINAGAR: Authorities on Saturday foiled a proposed news conference of Hurriyat (M) chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at his residence in Srinagar.

No journalist was allowed to cover the event as the route leading to Mirwaiz’s Nageen residence was completely sealed by barbed wires. Hurriyat spokesperson said that now the Press Conference will be addressed online through twitter/facebook at 4:30 P.M.
