Three Hizib Militants killed in Budgam gunfight

SRINAGAR: Three militants have been killed in an encounter that began on Tuesday evening between militants and forces in Rudbugh area of Budgam district.

The slain militants were identified as Javid Sheikh of Budgam, Aquib of Budgam and Sajad of Srinagar who belongs to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit.

The encounter had begun on Tuesday evening when forces launched a cordon-and-search operation after they received an information about the presence of militants in Radbugh village in Bun-makhama area of Magam.

During the operation, forces established a contact with the militants triggering a gunfight. A joint team of CRPF, Army’s RR and the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG were on job to neutralize the trapped militants.
